We encourage you to reflect on what has been discussed with each other. You may choose to take time together or away from each other to think or pray. Presenting teams are available for any questions.
Here are a few suggested prayers to begin your reflection:
Suggestion 1:
Father, You made both of us. You love us and You know us so well. It was Your hand that led us to one another. Now, as we prepare to begin our journey together, united in love, we turn to You. Help us to be for one another, a generous listener, a firm supporter, a best friend. Never let us take each other for granted. Help us understand even in times of anger that love brought us together. Fill each day with some new discovery about our love, about Your spark in us. Through good times and bad, in our joys and sorrows, be with us, guiding us and holding us in Your gentle embrace. Amen.
Suggestion 2:
Faithful God of hard promises, hear our prayers for those who have loved us, especially our families and friends. Hear their prayers for us, now and on our wedding day, so that with faith in you and in each other we may pledge our love and so be living witnesses to your love for all creation. Our Father....
Suggestion 3:
God of all our days and nights, the wedding we look forward to will last a day; the marriage we enter will be for a lifetime. Send us in peace and love to serve you by loving each other and by sharing that love with all the people we know and with those in need. Our Father....
